SCOOT TOUR OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

August 1st - 2nd, 2008

Mark Your Calendars for the first (and hopefully annual) fall scoot tour and weekend festivities. Routes and eateries are still being discussed, but we are aiming for a 250ish mile ride through

The weekend seems to be shaping up like this:

Friday, August 1, 7:30 p.m.: Meet-n-greet at a local watering hole.

Saturday, August 2, 8:00 a.m.:  Meet for continental breakfast at Scooter Centrale, then head for the open road through Massachusetts and Southern Vermont.   While we’ll be sticking to the back roads, it is definitely a ride designed for 150s and above (we count the Buddy 125 as a 150).   A chase vehicle will follow the crew picking up dropped parts and helping out ailing scoots.

We’ll fire up the grill here at Scooter Centrale around 6 p.m. so that when participants return, they will be greeted with food & a free designer T-shirt to commemorate the accomplishment. Folks who are not up to the ride for what ever reason (work? scoot in pieces in your living room? can’t get a babysitter?) are invited to welcome back the adventurous.

August 31st, 2008 

Lime Rock Park Ride!

Lime Rock Park is holding the 26th Rolex Vintage Car Festival. That Sunday, August 31st, we will be meeting at the shop and leaving at 9AM to ride to the track in Lakeville, CT. The ride will leisurely clock in at under 2 hours each way. The event goes all weekend, but our Sunday ride will take us to "Sunday in the Park, the most spectacular motoring extravaganza of the north east coast, which will delight those who come to relax, picnic and enjoy the judging and prize giving". Tickets for that day will be $20.
